had dinner at the intercontinental hotel today with my family and another family(my parents' friends and their kids)
my mom was desperately hurrying us up as she wanted us to reach the restaurant at 6pm in order to get better food haha. whatever-.- oh and as i was about to start eating, i looked up and guess who i saw!
Mrs Yogee! my co-op teacher! what a coincidence right. i thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. She was there with her husband. i was stunned but i managed to mumble a greeting. and to my horror, my parents' friend's kid, said to Mrs Yogee :"I'M HER BROTHER."
i was so embarassed!!! i was glaring at him with this LOOK.
anyway, the food was pretty alright. i ate until i was so bloated that i was on the verge of puking everything out. and because of that, i drank so many glasses of water and so i had to go to the toilet 5 times. HAHAAH.
i was desperately trying to find means and ways of digesting my food quickly so i walked around the whole place outside the restaurant, even to the extent that i paced up and down the toilet for about 10times. i know its stupid so you dont need to tell me that :p
oh and whilst pacing up and down in the toilet, this lady walked in and was staring at me, my sis and my friend with this quizzical expression on her face. haha and the hand dryer kept scaring me, because when i walked past, it would activate suddenly and scaring the daylights out of me.
when i went back into the restaurant, i decided to go up to Mrs Yogee's table to say HI but i was kind of apprehensive about it. it took me a while before deciding that i would pretend to be taking fruits before walking over to speak to her. and unfortunately, my sister, and the 2 kids tagged along. it was a hilarious sight.
i was stocking up watermelon and honeydew on my plate before bracing myself. this was how i began my conversation!
me: "hello Mrs Yogee, i thought i'd just come over to say hi"
then mrs yogee said hi and everything and asked me who i was here with and was this my first time and so on
then suddenly she said (something like that. not the exact words though):
"you like seafood alot dont you?" (cos she saw me taking alot of seafood hahah)
i was quite surprised and so i blurted out:
"er yeah i'm the seafoody type"
before i could stop myself.
how mortifying. i cant believe what i saidoh i saw emily nickles in the lobby too! i was on the line when i saw her so i waved!
hahaha
